What does the savings button mean, and when do I see it?

Money Manager uses smart technology to analyse your spending and income across all accounts. It calculates exactly how much you can afford to save every day - so you can move money into your savings or investments. If it doesn’t think you should save, it won’t ask you to.

If you can't see the option to save in the app, it means that Money Manager has analysed your spending and income and doesn't think you can afford to save right now.

If you don't think this is correct it's worth:

  • Checking your recurring costs are correct

  • Excluding any large, one-off payments from your everyday spending that aren't part of your usual spending habits

  • Making sure your cycle is personalised to your lifestyle

Money Manager will then re-calculate whether you can afford to save or not, and if you can, you'll see the option to save!
