Lumio has been built to analyse and detect any recurring costs or payments you might have, from direct debits to standing orders, and assign them to your recurring costs.

Lumio identifies recurring costs as Suggested, however, from time to time, mistakes happen, and if one of your reoccurring costs is not automatically detected, but you can add your own at any time.

Your recurring costs will be split up between 'Paid' and 'Upcoming' depending on the spending cycle you have set within the app.

Adding a recurring cost

If you're adding a recurring cost in your (Personal) Private and Shared Space, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Spending tab.

  2. In the Recurring Costs tab/widget, tap 'Details'.

  3. In the top right corner, select 'Add new'.

  4. You will then see any suggested recurring costs (and a full list of linked transactions below these).

  5. Select the transaction you want to add a recurring cost .

  6. Confirm the 'Frequency' (i.e. Monthly) and the 'Starting Date'.

  7. And then tap 'Add to Recurring Costs' in blue at the bottom of the screen.

  8. That's it, your Recurring cost should be added.

  9. If you want to share this Recurring cost to your Shared Space - click here

You should now see this transaction in your recurring payments (as Paid or Upcoming). All other transactions linked to this merchant will be added to this new recurring payment.

Please note:

  • If you want to share an existing recurring cost from your Private Space to your Shared Space, you should share the recurring cost the same way you share any transaction. Click here to read about 'Sharing transactions to a Shared Space'.

  • If you haven't added the transaction as a recurring cost in your Private space. Just share the transaction, switch to your Shared Space and follow the same steps above.

  • Suggested Recurring costs in your Private Space can often include recurring costs linked to your Shared Space - we suggest you just ignore these suggestions.
