Excluding a transaction stops it from being counted towards your spending in both your Private and Shared Space. If you don't want a transaction to be included in your Spending, just exclude it.

This feature is particularly useful if you have made a transfer from one of your bank accounts to another and the transfer is now included in your Income (unlikely something you want to be displayed). For the most part, Lumio will automatically detect these 'internal transfers' and exclude them from your Income.

However, there are often other transactions you'll want to exclude from your Spending and Analytics.

Please Note:

  • 'Excluding a transaction' in Lumio is different from 'Hiding a transaction' from a Shared Space.

  • When you hide a transaction, you remove it from your Space completely. Learn how to hide a transaction from your Shared Space here.

  • When exclude a transaction you remove it from all your Spending analytics in Lumio - but you will still be able to see 'excluded transactions' under 'excluded.

Here's how to exclude a transaction from Lumio:

Excluding one transaction

  1. Select the Space you want to exclude the transaction from (you can switch between Spaces via the profile icon in the top left corner of Lumio)

  2. In the Home tab, scroll down to Recent Transactions and select 'See all'.

  3. Tap the transaction you want to exclude.

  4. Turn on the 'Exclude from Analytics and Spending' toggle.

  5. Select 'Exclude Transaction' to confirm excluding the transaction from your Spending and Income data.
