Everyday spending is all the spending you do outside of your recurring costs and bills. Some people might call it your discretionary or day-to-day spending.

In your Spending tab of Lumio you'll see three widgets covering your:

  • Everyday Spending: Groceries, Uber, Eating out, Entertainment, Travel, Amazon etc.

  • Recurring Costs: Bills, Subscriptions, Council Tax, Rent, Mortgage.

  • Total Spent: Everyday Spending + Recurring Costs

If you've not added a transaction to your Recurring Cost in Lumio, it will sit under Everyday Spending (unless it has been excluded). Everyday Spenidng will be tracked separately under in your Private Space and your Shared Space.

You can track and compare your Actual Everyday Spending against your Projected Everyday Spending. You can adjust your projected Everyday Spending by tapping the 'Set Projected' button in the top right of the screen (see below):

Within Everyday Spending, tou can also see a breakdown of who has paid for what when it comes to Everyday Spending. You can view:

  • All your Recent Everyday Spending

  • User A Everyday Spending

  • User B Everyday Spending

  • Joint account Everyday Spending

You can amend and adjust your Projected Everyday spending. Lumio calculates a suggested average, but you can adjust this yourself if you think you have a clearer idea of what you want to spend or budget for. See the screen below for more info.
